Congratulations are in order for Vivian, who walked away with a £250 habitation voucher at this weekend’s North West Area Motor Caravan Section AGM, hosted by the Camping and Caravanning Club in the vibrant seaside town of Southport.
The event, held over a fun-packed weekend, welcomed motor caravan enthusiasts from across the region to enjoy not just the official AGM, but a full programme of entertainment and activities designed for all ages and interests.
From the elegant shopping experience along Lord Street’s Victorian canopied boulevard to the thrills of Pleasureland, Splash World, the towering Ferris wheel and Funland Pier, Southport offered no shortage of ways to make memories. For lovers of art and coastal walks, the nearby Crosby Beach was a highlight, home to Antony Gormley’s iconic sculptures.
Guests also enjoyed relaxing moments in the town’s many charming cafes and bars, or peaceful strolls through Kings Park and around Marine Lake.
The evenings were just as lively, with top-notch entertainment inside the marquee. Attendees danced and sang along to performances from a Beatles tribute band, The Cheatles, and a solo tribute to the legendary Cilla Black. Traditional favourites like bingo also added to the communal spirit.
Capping off the festivities was a cheerful “Picnic in the Park,” accompanied by the upbeat tunes of the Wigan Ukulele Band—bringing a real sense of community and celebration to the weekend.
The AGM weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, and we look forward to seeing Vivian soon to claim her well-deserved prize.
