Grassroots sport plays an important role in giving young people the opportunity to get active, develop new skills and enjoy being part of a team. This season, Marquis Leisure is supporting Bishop’s Waltham Cricket Club (BWCC) by providing equipment and clothing for its junior ‘Colts’ section.

As part of the latest sponsorship, Marquis has provided playing equipment for the Colts, helping to ensure the young players have the equipment they need for training and matches throughout the season. We have also supplied branded clothing for the Colts Team Managers and Coaches, who give their time to support, encourage and develop the club’s junior players.

The sponsorship builds on Marquis Leisure’s previous support for Bishop’s Waltham Cricket Club, which has included bats and balls for the junior section, professional coaching team clothing and high-quality cricket covers for the club.

Based in Hampshire, Bishop’s Waltham Cricket Club provides opportunities for players of different ages to enjoy the game, with its Colts section helping younger players learn and develop their cricketing skills in a supportive team environment.

Behind every junior team is also a dedicated group of coaches, managers and volunteers. Their time and commitment help make grassroots cricket possible, from organising training and matches to encouraging young players as they progress within the sport.

Supporting initiatives such as BWCC reflects Marquis Leisure’s wider commitment to local communities and to encouraging grassroots sport, healthy living and youth development.
