While travelling to the New Forest, Mrs Callard and her husband experienced a few issues on their first evening, mainly relating to the LPG system. After checking the manuals but being unable to resolve the problem, they realised that Marquis Dorset in Poole was nearby and decided to call in for advice.
Although they had not made an appointment, the Marquis Dorset team gave them a friendly welcome and quickly arranged for Phil, the branch’s Handover Specialist, to come out and help.

"Having recently bought an Autosleeper Nuevo from the Exeter Branch, our third visit was to a site in the New Forest last Sunday. On our first evening, we experienced a few issues, mainly with the LPG, which we suspected were down to our own error, but which we were not able to resolve through consultation with the manuals. Realising that there was a Marquis in Poole, we called in, without making a prior appointment, and explained our problems to their very friendly and welcoming team. Within minutes, Phil, their handover lead, came out to find out how he could help. We were completely blown away by his friendliness, understanding, quiet patience, depth of knowledge and the way in which he shared that knowledge with us. As we suspected, our problem was down to user error, but Phil did not make us feel foolish, far from it, reassuring us that there was so much technology to understand, it was quite normal to have missed something during our initial very comprehensive handover. He could not have been more helpful, even lying on the ground under the van to explain things to my husband! Once we had resolved our initial query, Phil went over and above to highlight other things to us and to show us functions which we had missed. He did not rush and spent ages with us, reassuring us, enhancing our knowledge and making sure we left feeling informed and confident. He offered customer service of the very highest standard, and we are incredibly grateful to him for his time and positive, friendly and humorous demeanour. He was amazing, and we are extremely grateful. Thank you."
