From Auckland to Dorset: 11,500 Miles for a Motorhome

Marquis Dorset are no strangers to welcoming many customers through their doors but this customer handover might just be one for the record books! They were thrilled to welcome Mr & Mrs Sommerville, who travelled an astounding 11,500 miles from Auckland, New Zealand, to collect their new  Auto-Trail Excel 690T.

For the Sommerville's, their decision to travel halfway across the globe to collect their vehicle speaks volumes about their spirit of adventure!

Rather than simply shipping the vehicle to New Zealand or purchasing one locally, they embraced the opportunity to turn the collection into the first chapter of their journey. 

Having now collected their Auto-Trail Excel 690T, Mr & Mrs Sommerville plan to tour across the UK and Europe, discovering new landscapes, cultures, and memories in the making. "The Excel 690T is excellent for our 5 month tour of the UK and parts of Europe."

The Sommerville's shared the full story including how long they've been planning their purchase and journey back to Auckland...

"After 8 years in the planning we boarded our long haul flight from Auckland, New Zealand to London. After a brief overnight stop we drove from London to Marquis Dorset in Poole to collect our brand new Auto-Trail Excel 690T! We ordered our motorhome just under a year ago from Martin and Terry at Marquis Dorset and the process has been smooth throughout. Our handover with Martin & Phil was excellent and they certainly helped getting us on the road to start our adventure of a lifetime.

The Excel 690T is excellent for our 5 month tour of the UK and parts of Europe.

Marquis Dorset have made all necessary arrangements for us to export our Auto-Trail back to our home in Auckland when we conclude our travels. We can't wait to explore & discover what lies ahead!!"
