Sales Administrator - Experienced or Trainee

Based at our Administration Head Office in Preston, we are looking for a new member to join our busy central admin team. The position requires you to give support to the branch Sales Teams by providing an administration service. Daily duties will include assisting the team by carrying out general administrative tasks, sales administration as well as using our sophisticated computer system. We are looking for either an experienced Administrator or a trainee who is willing to learn. You must be PC literate, have experience of Microsoft Office - full training will be provided on company systems.

 

Key Skill include: Excellent Communication Skills, Flexibility, Excellent Customer Care Skills, Good Administration Ability, Coupled with a Full UK Drivers Licence (not essential)

 

Key Objectives:

 

  • Handling and dealing with sales enquiries effectively
  • Managing and maintaining customer records
  • Registering and updating of warranty details and policies
  • Handling and sending of outgoing post 
  • Handling and clearance of import paperwork alongside the Accounts department
  • Ordering office supplies and suppling branches with in-company paperwork
  • Preparing customer questionnaires and recording returned results
  • Sending and preparing sales information to branches
  • Liaising with branches to complete sales processes
  • Performing any other ad hock tasks, as required, which will help to contribute to the overall performance of your branch and or the Marquis Group

 

Person Specification

  • Languages - must be fluent in English and be able to write competently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - has the ability to convey information verbally to fellow team members and customers
  • Stability under pressure - reacts well to change and stays positive despite setbacks
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to adapt to the company's needs in the way we deliver our service
  • Reliable and takes pride in the quality of their work

 

Hours of work are part-time, 37.5 hours a week, 9am to 5pm with 1/2 hour lunch break. You will be required to work 1 Saturday morning a month on a rota basis. Flexibility will be required around busier times of the year.
