Friction Collective - Dream Big
Film by www.frictioncollective.com Bristol. Marquis aim to support a range of charitable causes and events every year and our main way of supporting such events is with the loan of a motorhome or caravan. One of our biggest events of 2019 was supporting paralympian Mel Nicholls as she beat the current World Record of handcyling from Land’s End to John O’Groats in under 7 days! Marquis offered our support for this amazing challenge with the loan of a Benimar Tessoro 494 as a support vehicle. The Motorhome comfortably accommodated both Mel and her crew as a base as she completed her World Record. Not only did Mel break a World Record, she also raised awareness and donations for two disability charities Arctic One and Adaptive Grand Slam Foundation. GB Paralympian Mel Nicholls suffered a series of strokes as a fit and healthy young woman. She was left unable to walk or use much of the left side of her body following the third stroke in 2008. Mel set out to break the world record for handcycling the length of Great Britain in June 2019. The Lands End to John O'Groats route is a highly revered journey, covering 874 miles up the heart of the country. This is an inspirational story of unbridled positivity & determination that will leave you itching to get outside & begin training for your own adventure.
