Motorhome and Caravan News from across UK

The Gay Caravan and Motorhome Club

The Gay Caravan & Motorhome Club (GCMC) is the longest running UK based club for the gay community who all share an interest in caravanning, camping and motorhoming.

The Gay Caravan & Motorhome Club (GCMC) is the longest running UK based club for the gay community who all share an interest in caravanning, camping and motorhoming.

In September 2020 the GCMC had planned a weekend away free to their members at The West Midlands Showground in Shrewsbury to celebrate their 30th Anniversary with expected numbers of 100+ units of caravans and motorhomes. Due to the pandemic the event had to be postponed for a year and was held this September instead. Marquis supported the event by providing bio-degradable carrier bags for their welcome pack and a raffle prize.

It sounds like a good time was had by all as they had organised a lot to keep them busy! On the Friday night they had a dress code of Dickies and Fascinating Fascinators and Lily Taylor-Ward singing to get the party started. On Saturday night they had an ABBA Duo perform for them and then of the Sunday they had the Great Gay Bake Off competition finished off with a disco on the Sunday night.

“We are a club that is run by members for members, who enjoy sharing times away with others throughout the UK and occasionally Europe. We are a sociable friendly club which has been running successfully and growing since 1990, where the emphasis is on our common enjoyment of Caravanning, Camping and Motorhoming. Most of our social gatherings on our breaks away are informal and relaxed, many members enjoy going on walks with their dogs, sightseeing and visiting places of interest or just meeting up with other members and building friendships.”
